Why should YOU use an audio editing service?
HIDDEN FOX ADVICE
(Judge’s Critique)
I have been working in the dance industry for a long time. I have heard hundreds of mixes and seen the looks on a Judge’s face when the music isn’t cut right. While many of them are great people, some judges can be meticulous, critical, and a bit elitist. When your music isn’t sounding good, they can tell. They listen to dance mixes all day and when they hear that yours is a little off, they interpret it as sloppy. They will perceive you as being unprofessional. When the cuts are badly timed, the quality of the audio is low, or any other issue that may hamper your audio, The judges will not value your project as much. It will make your dance routine more forgettable and less likely to take home the ultimate prize. I have heard the conversations backstage and I can guarantee you, they notice when music is well cut. I can remember an example from one competition I worked at. There were 2 productions that went on back to back to close out the weekend. Even though the first group was more talented, their music was far less presentable and they did not win. The quality was low and the cuts were confusing. They didn’t live up to their potential.
Now you may think that winning isn’t everything and that is fair. I believe that just getting the dancers on stage is a victory in and of itself. It can be exhausting to choreograph a project and an audio editing service saves you time, effort, and peace of mind. Off-loading that responsibility onto somebody else will allow you to spend more time on the things that matter. It will allow you to keep a better sleep schedule. It will give you the professional sound that Judges love and prefer. It will allow you to create a better dance routine and hone the skills of your performers with the extra time you now have. If you are a Choreographer/Dance Instructor It is not only a smart move, it is essential to let an audio editing service help you become more established and trusted in the Industry.
